ギャラリーについて

morgenrotでは、漆、ガラス、金工、陶磁器、木工、布製品等々、作家が丹精込めた一点ものの作品を取り扱っております。毎日の生活を豊かに彩る、身近なアートとの出会いをお手伝いできましたら幸いです。

店名の「morgenrot」（モルゲンロート）は、登山用語でもあるのですが、ドイツ語で「朝焼け」を意味しています。 山で見る朝焼けは、空の色と山肌が刻々と色を変える様子が大変美しく、自然の織りなす景色にとても幸せな気持ちになります 　弊ギャラリーにおきましても、作家の紡ぎだす作品との出会い、日の出の勢いの様に成長する美しさと感動を、皆さまと共有していきたいとの願いを店名に込めました。

また作家の想いと作品、皆さまとをつなぐイメージをロゴに込めました。「morgenrot」の「O」をつなぎ目も角もない“円”として“縁”に見立てて、重なり合い、つながり続ける様を表わしています。
美しく無限にひろがる景色のように、相者がつながり続けることを願っております。

About us

morgenrot, the art gallery mainly handles Japanese craft work marked its third anniversary since its opening near the Gaien-mae station in Aoyama, Tokyo in November 2015. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude for every customer and visitor who has enjoyed our exhibitions.

morgenrot delivers a wide range of Japanese craftwork such as lacquer, glass, metalworking, ceramics, woodworking, clothing products and etc. All the items are the one-of-a-kind elaborate artworks produced by artists. We would be pleased if we could help you to get closer to craftworks to enrich your daily life.

The gallery name “morgenrot” is a mountain climbing term which means morning glow in German. The view of morning glow in a mountain that varies the empty colors of the sky and the edge of the mountains into shining red is so beautiful and it makes the viewers feel so happy. We named to the gallery because we hope to share the beauty and excitement like the morning glow with you when you meet the creators' work.

Logo of the gallery has the special meaning to unite the creators’ thought and the customer.
"O" of "morgenrot" is regarded as "circle" or "ring" with no joint and corner, overlapping and continuing to connect every work and everyone.

Like the beautiful and infinitely wide landscape, we hope we would be able to circle our relationship with creators and customers.
